However…

You can’t pull that out without some serious (we’re talking at least a week of) pampering and compliments FROM YOU not the pizza boy. Then, and only then you can start to feel out the situation. If she seems to be warming up to you you can spend an evening giving her a full body massage. I know this isn’t the glorious morning blow jobs that Grant has promised you but it WILL work.

Don’t forget that when women don’t want to have sex there’s often an emotional block. The only cure for that is open and honest discussion. Be prepared though. You may not like what she has to say. And once she say’s it now your both responsible for dealing with whatever is said.

It’s far less exciting and takes a lot more time but the whole idea is that you need to be close again before you can even think about “The Accommodator”. Then once you pop that baby out it’s all good

Also, how can you criticize something if you didn’t even listen to it? I’m not defending The Lost episode because I didn’t hear it either so for all I know it may really suck. However, you are you just reacting because they did a Lost episode? They’ve talked about Lost numerous times, where have you been the past two years? Also, did you hear the Grant rant about his wife a couple episdoes ago? How is that losing it? That will go down as one of the greatest show moments.

I can take criticism just fine, Captain…especially when “critism” is spelled correctly, and is fucking CONSTRUCTIVE. What I won’t stand for is people whining about something without explaining what they’re whining about. How have we become “just like every fanboy podcast?” When did we start feeling “forced and boring?” How would YOU make it better?

I appreciate you feeling the need to comment on the show—it must really mean something to you, but justify your remarks with reason. Don’t hate for hate sake, and don’t hide behind a fake name when you do it, “Captain.” I don’t think I’m being agro I’m just telling it how it is, like I always have. Insecurity has nothing to do with my actions; I’m simply defending my friends and the show.

Personally, with the exception of ‘Fanime Freeballing’ (in which we were all completely exhausted), I think some of our recent episodes have been our best. ‘This Means War!’ and ‘How We Met Brian’s Mother’ are some of our favorites. While I appeciate your frankness (and lame ass attempts at put downs), I don’t respect you badmouthing us based something you didn’t even bother listening to. I would think a ‘fan’ of the show would have a more open mind. If you don’t like some of our episode topics– I get that, but we always stamp our balls on whatever we decide to talk about. To say that we’re being “just like every fanboy podcast” does everyone a disservice, especially those other podcasts who strive to actually inform people. We’re just guys who like to bullshit!

I hate to break it to you, but Ugly isn’t always having threesomes, I’m not always fall down drunk, and Grant isn’t always stealing shit. The only constants are Brian’s good nature, our love of popculture, our strangely enduring friendships and the humor that comes from them.

I’ve had people give me unconstructive feedback about my comic work and have always been able to laugh them off. I think I’m taking this personally because The Geek Savants has always been about getting together with the boys, and putting it out there for people to laugh at.

Sorry we haven’t held your interest, but whatever. We’re going to continue doing what we do.

Seriously, we don’t give a shit about what other “fanboy type” podcasts produce. We do things our way, and have for over two years. If we like something (sex, drugs, thieving, anarchy, comics and LOST) we’ll talk about it.

I don’t know if you’re actually a listener or just another anonymous internet scab that just needs to bitch about something you won’t even give a chance. You’re probably the latter: just another fanboy type.

1) I’m glad Dave has joined those of us who have seen the light and seen HEROES for the bullshit boondogle it is (and shit on Tim Kring for claiming to ‘never seen a comic book’ when he created the very comic book-y MISFITS OF SCIENCE and is married to a manga artist)

2) The reason the CGS Crew poopoo’d WATCHMEN for stupid reasons is not because they read the book so close to the movie, but because they’re Self Important Assholes Who Believe They Are A Celebrity Part Of The Industry….I read the book, and I didn’t hate the movie (I Loved it, matter of fact), and I felt the new ending HELPED the movie rather than hurt it. I stopped listening to CGS because I got tired of listening to a bunch of idiots who think they’re profound and Cooler Than You yet don’t have the courage to respond to opposing viewpoints.

(As opposed to you guys, who have fun with your weaknesses and don’t hide them in your podcast; that’s why I always got your back!)

Obviously, my revulsion for HEROES has been well-documented by this point (and it’s grown with the awfulness of Season Two, which I’ve been watching solely for the Hot-Hottie-ness of Kristen Bell), and I’m glad you guys have been watching REAPER, which I’ve been having a ball-and-a-half-with…but I simply don’t get why you’re going all slob-job over PUSHING DIASIES, which I gave up on after the third episode. Yeah, the pilot was amazing, but Deeee-yam, the show is nothing but artifice, proud of its lack of plot and surfeit of quirkiness. The quirkiness has become all the show is about–I almost put my foot through the television after that stupid resolution revolving around the Asian Southern guy–and the central character is simply a total void.

(and yeah, I would totally be piping Kristen Chenowitz from here to the west coast and back. Not-Charlotte is so much more, well, fun that Charlotte)

If we work out the logistics, we would love to do a crossover episode next year.

I’d be interested in hearing what you guys thought of FLIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD.

First off, thanks for the plug for BITD…you should find something equally nice at the beginning of our next Preview episode in November.

I won’t defend SAW–I sorta liked the first one, although (as Derrick and I discussed in an episode) I wonder if the reason I liked it was more because of the circumstances in which I saw it.

And I also won’t defend BLAIR WITCH II: BOOK OF SHADOWS, although I will say that I respect it as an attempt to do something unusual with the franchise. Joe Berlinger was given an absolutely ridiculous mission–to make a sequel for a film that was effective more as a trick on the audience than as a movie–and made the best of it.

(Plus, we got to see Erica Leershon naked, and she’s mighty tasty naked)

So while I won’t ever claim BLAIR WITCH II is a good film, I will claim it as a glorious failure.

And for the record…my choice for worst horror film ever made? PULSE, that godawful American remake of the J-Horror flick which looks like it was shot through a badly used coffee filter. I originally went to see it solely because the uber-tasty Kristen Bell was in it, and I hated it so much that I gave Derrick permission to hit me if I ever went to a movie for that reason again.

Keep it up! Can’t wait to see what the Zombie episode is like!
